Ok wow... This new work is really quiet. I think I've been saying so many things, joyful things, but really loud, dynamic and visual very "modern" stuff for a long time. These birds in their background of texture and silence are simply a representation of my own evolution. The symbolism of the birds is obvious; trasition, trasformation, a reference to the spiritual - they stand in for people I know and myself. However the paintings are not about the birds. If you took away the birds and you took away the painting, ... and then you took away the person looking at the painting, the only things left would be the small spheres that appear in each piece. They are the essential.
